Comic books, rock 'n' roll and movies. I like to think that I've matured past 14-years-old but I suppose you will have to be the judge of that.

Brill Building R.I.P.

Folks, it's been a blast but things are changing. I am on the verge of becoming a college graduate. I already have something of a writing career going on. This blog has become more and more redundant to me. Occasionally I can muster up the psychic energy and can shame my fingers into writing for myself. Out of the few times I accomplish that I rarely come up with something I would want to share with the public. I no longer find blogging attractive.

At this point in my life I am much more happy when I'm tracking down stories, interviewing creators and hitting deadlines. I want to write but don't want to feel I'm in a vacuum. I want to collaborate with editors, interview subjects, other writers, artists, and whoever else. I know I serve the Comics Internet much better at Newsarama and PW Comics Week than posting bloody YouTube clips here. W

ithout giving much away I can assure you there will be more Brilly goodness out there, perhaps in a form you can hold in your hand. Of course, IanBrill.com lives. It will probably change and start updating when I've got a new article out.

Blogging led me to a lot of great people. Johanna, Graeme, Shane and Kevin are just the very, very top of a huge iceberg. You're all cool and I know through my interactions with you all I've become a better writer. Also, know that Mike redefines the word awesome. I wouldn't have started this darn thing without his inspiration.

I ain't leaving, I'm just getting better.

(And let's face it, I'll probably start up a new blog before the year's out. That's how these things usually work.)

Comments: It's been real. I'll keep an eye out for your name. Good luck, not that you need it.
